Google will introduce a new feature for the Pixel smartphones. This fresh new feature will let people see who is calling them and the motive of their calls before they even answer the phone. This is made possible through Google Assistant. The cooling thing about this feature is that, a real-time transcript will allow the users to see how the caller responds in order to see if they want to pick up, mark it as a spam and dismiss it or just simply tap it quickly for a quick response (e.g., “I’ll call you back later”).
According to Google, “Call Screen is only available to English speakers in the United States who have Pixel 2, 2 XL, 3, or 3XL devices. If you don’t see Call Screen in the Phone app’s settings, it’s not available yet.”
This cool app will help its users save some valuable time and not pick up calls that are unimportant and that are made from unknown numbers, it also doesn’t use mobile nor Wi-Fi.
However, if you have any screen recording and third-party call recording apps since they might interfere with the app and it may not function properly, according to Google, if you want this feature to run better, it’s best that you turn them off.
According to Google, your phone at the moment can’t save the transcripts of the call that is made, but things may change in the future, and you may have that option.
